American Ripper – A&E

About This Project

In the late 1800’s, American’s first mass murderer, H. H. Holmes, built a diabolical labyrinth of rooms designed to torture and kill atop an unassuming hotel.

We created for A&E’s upcoming series, American Ripper, a 3D animation that imagines what it would have been like to be a prisoner trapped inside this murder castle. Using historical reference, we recreated the environment, its devices, and frantically run around explore it from first person point of view.

Matt led the design, art direction, development, and production of the animation, slated to premiere in late 2017. Contact to see secured video.
