Capturing the moment technology stops being a tool and becomes a trap.

or Showtime’s Dark Net, a documentary series exploring the darker and more unsettling edges of digital life, we developed a show open built around technological entanglement. The winning concept followed an individual as electrical signals crept across the body, wrapped around them, and transformed into a dense digital web.

I led the pitch, shaped the creative direction, storyboarded the sequence, presented the concept, and then guided the art and animation through production until it became the final series open. Dark Net itself centered on the disturbing side of internet culture and technology, including themes like cybercrime, surveillance, online extremism, and digital exploitation.

Project Outcome

Challenge

The challenge was translating an abstract idea, becoming consumed by technology, into something cinematic, unsettling, and emotionally readable. It also required finding a visual language that could feel stylish and conceptually sharp while still working convincingly with human movement.

Amazing Results

The concept won the pitch and was produced as the final show open for the series. It gave Dark Net a striking visual metaphor for the kinds of technological forces the show set out to explore.
